Julia Kulilikauaonalani Kimura, 97, of Waimea died June 5 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Waimea, she was a retired library technician at Thelma Parker Memorial Library, member of Imiola Congregational Church, Ahanui Kaahumanu Society and Waimea Senior Citizens, and volunteer at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Survived by daughters, Patricia Lewi of Waimea, Jeanne (George) Abe of Wailuku and Valerie (Gerald) Boteilho of Waimea; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Paul Joseph Steward, 78, of Nampa, Idaho, formerly of Hilo and Honolulu, died June 12. Born in Chicago, he was a retired banking executive, entrepreneur and college lecturer, and avid reader who enjoyed pertinent discussions, crossword puzzles, Scrabble and “Jeopardy!” Services held in Idaho. Survived by wife, Roxanna Steward; daughter, Joanne Kapololu; sister, Lala (Carl) Besich; sister-in-law, Cori; brother-in-law, Danny; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
